AV-Comparatives’ Awards Ceremony for 2020 honoured the security vendors whose products stood up to the year’s cyber-threats and kept the Internet safe. This year, for obvious reasons, it was held virtually rather than physically, but over 100 participants attended. In total, 27 different vendors were given awards for their security products.
Upcoming AV-Comparatives’ Certification Tests 2021
As in previous summers, we will be running certification tests for the following products:
- Anti-malware programs for macOS
- Anti-malware apps for Android
- Phishing protection for Windows and other platforms
- Parental control features for Windows and other platforms
Security vendors interested in any of above tests are invited to contact us by the 23rd of April 2021.
AV-Comparatives Security Survey 2021 published
Every year AV-Comparatives conducts a security survey asking users their opinion and preference on security products. In our global survey we ask users on various security related topics. The opinions and preferences from the end user community provide us with valuable feedback. The results help us increase the relevance and value of anti-virus software testing. We want to thank all who join the surveys and spend their time to complete them.
Consumer Summary Report 2020
Austrian antivirus testing lab AV-Comparatives has released its annual Summary Report consumer security products (PDF available here). This includes results of all the individual tests carried out during 2020, a user-interface review for all 17 tested products, and awards given to individual programs in various different categories.
Endpoint Prevention & Response (EPR) Test 2020
AV-Comparatives released the first-ever Endpoint Prevention and Response (EPR) Test, taking into account the total cost of ownership (TCO) of product and breach costs. The EPR CyberRisk Quadrant™ shows at a glance the Strategic Leaders, CyberRisk Visionaries and Strong Challengers.
