Each year, we release the results of our phishing protection certification test, which assesses the effectiveness of security products in defending against phishing websites. These malicious sites are designed to steal sensitive information such as usernames, passwords, and credit card details.
AV-Comparatives offers certification for parental control software, evaluating products against stringent criteria. Each solution is tested with 1,000 URLs containing adult content and 100 child-safe URLs. To achieve the 2024 certification, a product must block at least 98% of adult websites, have zero false positives on child-friendly websites, and be free from significant unresolved bugs or design flaws.
