AV-Comparatives offers certification for parental control software, evaluating products against stringent criteria. Each solution is tested with 1,000 URLs containing adult content and 100 child-safe URLs. To achieve the 2024 certification, a product must block at least 98% of adult websites, have zero false positives on child-friendly websites, and be free from significant unresolved bugs or design flaws.

The Parental Control Test by AV-Comparatives is notably rigorous, ensuring that any product passing this test has met a high standard.
